Rewriting Website Copy for Menstrual Coach

For this project, I worked with a menstrual cycle and fertility coach whose mission is to help businesswomen align their careers with their cycles while also educating them on natural family planning and holistic women's health. While her original website had great information, it lacked a strong client-focused approach and the personality needed to fully connect with her audience.

I stepped in to refine her messaging, making sure it was engaging, empowering, and crystal-clear—helping visitors instantly see the value of her work.

About the project

  • Who: The Menstrual Maven - a menstrual cycle & fertility coach specializing in cycle syncing for business success, natural family planning, and holistic wellness.

  • What she needed: Her existing copy felt a bit flat and disconnected from her brand identity. She wanted a more engaging and personality-rich website that reflected her expertise, energy, and the unique transformation she offers to her clients. While her work was deeply impactful, her messaging didn’t fully capture her warmth, passion, and the real-life benefits of cycle syncing for ambitious businesswomen.

The goal

The original copy lacked the personality, connection, and clarity that her dream clients craved. This led to a disconnect between her expertise and the message her copy conveyed. Our goal was to:

  • Enhance her brand’s personality in the copy.

  • Position her as an industry expert with a warm, approachable tone.

  • Create compelling, clear, and inspiring messaging that focuses on the client and their problems.

What changed?

  • Engagement & curiosity: The new headline asks a question rather than stating a title. This immediately engages the reader and makes them reflect on their own experience.

  • More focus on the client: The original headline was about the coach’s profession, while the revised one speaks directly to the reader’s pain points and goals. It shifts from “here’s what I do” to “here’s how this benefits you.”

  • Action-oriented: The phrase “work with your cycle instead of against it” presents a clear transformation, showing that the client can help them turn struggle into success.

What changed?

  • Stronger emotional appeal: “Unlock the power of your cycle” sounds more empowering and transformative compared to the original version, which was more generic.

  • Simplified & more impactful: The original version had a long list of benefits, but the new version condenses the message while making it more compelling.

  • Encourages action: The phrase “to thrive in work and life” clarifies the end result, helping the audience visualize the benefits of working with the coach.

What changed?

  • Clearer pain point: Instead of a neutral, factual statement, the new version addresses the struggles that potential clients face (overwhelm, inconsistency, confusion about cycle tracking).

  • Encourages a mindset shift: The phrase “work smarter” positions cycle tracking as a tool for success, rather than just another task.

  • Conversational & engaging: The new version sounds more natural and inviting, making readers feel like they’re being spoken to personally.

What changed?

  • Stronger emotional hook: The original version was generic and informational, while the new one starts with a relatable frustration that grabs the reader’s attention.

  • More clarity on what’s included: The before version only mentioned "mastering your cycle," while the after version clearly explains what the course includes and what it helps with (tracking, syncing, productivity, and symptom relief).

  • Addresses common concerns: The phrase "without relying on medication or quick fixes" reassures potential clients that this is a sustainable and holistic solution, addressing a major concern they may have.

What changed?

  • More relatable & reader-focused: The original version was more generic, while the revised version acknowledges the client’s struggles upfront, making them feel understood.

  • Clearer transformation: Instead of just saying it’s a 90-minute session, the new version highlights the results: improved productivity, better energy management, and avoiding burnout.

  • More encouraging & supportive: The language is warmer and more empowering, helping potential clients feel confident that this session is exactly what they need.
