Rewriting Website Copy for a Brand + Web Designer
For this project, I collaborated with an incredible web and brand designer, a badass entrepreneur and a dear friend, who wanted her copy to pop as much as her designs. While her visuals were *on point*, her original copy was missing that extra spark — it felt generic and didn't truly capture her brand's personality and expertise.
So, I stepped in to add more warmth, clarity, and personality. The main goal was to make sure her words spoke directly to her dream clients, making them feel inspired and confident in booking her services.
About the project
Who: Studio Bressi - an ambitious web + brand designer known for creating visually stunning websites with a timeless aesthetic.
What she needed: Her existing copy felt a bit flat and disconnected from her brand identity. She wanted a more engaging and personality-rich copy that reflected her expertise, energy, and the unique transformation she offers.
The goal
Despite a beautifully designed website, the original copy lacked the personality, connection, and clarity that her dream clients craved. This led to a disconnect between her visual appeal and the message her copy conveyed. Our goal was to:
Enhance her brand’s personality in the copy.
Position her as an industry expert with a warm, approachable tone.
Create compelling, clear, and inspiring messaging that focuses on the client and their problems.

What changed?
Personal connection: Using sentences like "Your personality is what sets you apart" immediately establishes a personal connection, making the reader feel valued and understood.
Emotional appeal: Phrases like "our biggest mission," "wholeheartedly believe," and "empower you to charge premium prices," evoke emotions and convey a sense of dedication and support.
More focus on a client: Less of “what we do” and more of “how can this serve you” makes the whole offer more reader-focused and attractive to potential clients.
Clarity and simplicity: Copy is now more straightforward in expressing its ideas. It focuses on key points without unnecessary repetition or complexity.
Highlighting what is important: It emphasizes the importance of a brand identity more effectively with highlighting the uniqueness of the individual or business. It stresses the power of well-crafted visuals in building a personal connection.
What changed?
Client-Focused approach: The new copy is centered around the client, emphasizing the website as a reflection of their strengths, talents, and advantages. This approach is more engaging and resonates emotionally.
Expressive tone: The use of phrases like "your own dreamy corner of the internet" and "extra boost of confidence" adds an expressive and positive tone, making the content more memorable and appealing.
Highlighting the importance of a good website: The narrative suggests that the website serves as a tool for clients to connect with their dream audience even before they decide to work together. This strengthens the importance of the website as a powerful communication tool.
Empowering the reader: While maintaining information about Squarespace web design's user-friendly system and support, the copy presents these details in an empowering way, describing how the provided video trainings and help guides give clients the tools to make edits effortlessly. This reinforces the idea of client independence and control over their online space.
